چکیده

Abstract The Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) Integrated Multi‐satellitE Retrievals for GPM products (i.e., IMERG) provide new‐generation satellite precipitation measurements. For urban contexts, however, the issues of its bias and insufficient resolutions still exist. This study aims to develop high‐precision high‐resolution (e.g., 0.01°/1 h) data a metropolitan region based on IMERG gauge precipitations. original product is evaluated using hourly in situ precipitations from 47 gauges. A spatial downscaling‐calibration (DC) technique then developed enhance Normalized Difference Vegetation Index. results show limited capability capture sub‐daily high‐intensity precipitation. proposed DC method significantly improves performance, with correlation coefficient (CC) increasing 0.07 0.75, probability detection improving 0.34 0.90 at scale. In terms rainfall distribution, 86% mean absolute error 80% RMSE are improved CC 0.91 average. Additionally, calibrated downscaled provides finer information local areas, capturing three times more variabilities against input data. highlight necessity observations flood risk management fine spatiotemporal resolutions.

Evaluation of Satellite Precipitation Products with Rain Gauge Data at Different Scales: Implications for Hydrological Applications

Rain gauge and satellite-retrieved data have been widely used in basin-scale hydrological applications. While rain gauges provide accurate measurements that are generally unevenly distributed in space, satellites offer spatially regular observations and common error prone retrieval. Comparative evaluation of gauge-based and satellite-based data is necessary in hydrological studies, as precipita...

Virtualized Traffic at Metropolitan Scales

Few phenomena are more ubiquitous than traffic in urban scenes, and few are more significant economically, socially, or environmentally. Many virtual-reality applications and systems, including virtual globes and immersive multi-player worlds that are often set in a large-scale modern or futuristic setting, feature traffic systems. Virtual-reality models can also aid in addressing the challenge...

Evaluation of Precipitation Products of TRMM Satellite in Precipitation and Erosion Rate Monitoring across Iran

Extended abstract 1- Introduction     In order to calculate the erosive power of rainfall, high-resolution precipitation data are necessary for rainfall erosion evaluation. However, collecting the required data on kinetic energy of the rainfall particles and precipitation rates with short-term temporal resolution is a time-intensive task, particularly in developing countries, and the collecte...
